The Lady Statesmen had the upper edge, after winning all three doubles matches to take an early 3-0 lead. Â

With only two more points needed to secure the match victory, the Lady Statesmen entered the singles competition with dominance. The Lady Statesmen clinched the match win after Deroode did not drop a single set to her opponent, but play continued. Delta State did not slow its momentum, though, as the Lady Statesmen won the remaining singles matches on courts one through four.

- The 9-0 win over the Lynx is DSU's first shutout win of the season.
