Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Delta State University women's tennis bounced back from a 6-0 loss to the No. 2 University of West Florida Argonauts to defeat the University of West Georgia 7-2 on Friday, April 6, at Pensacola, Fla.
 
The West Florida Argonauts dominated the match from the beginning, sweeping the doubles competition to take a 3-0 lead. The Argonuats continued their momentum in the singles competition. After UWF won the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 5, play was suspended on the remaining courts.
 
However, the Lady Statesmen regrouped to win the second and final match of the day against the University of West Georgia.
 
Delta State dropped only two matches en route the victory. The Lady Statesmen had the 2-1 edge after winning doubles and continued to dominate the match in the singles competition.
