Box Score PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Delta State University women's tennis team fell 5-0 to Valdosta State University on Saturday, April 7, in Pensacola, Fla.
 
The Lady Blazers had the upper hand, when they defeated the Lady Statesmen in the doubles competition.
 
Valdosta State needed just two more points to clinch the match win in the singles competition. The Lady Statesmen started to gain momentum in the singles competition, but the match was called off when the Lady Blazers clinched the match with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles.
 
The match against concluded a three-match conference stand on the campus of the University of West Florida. The Lady Statesmen finished the weekend 1-2, snapping a nine-match losing streak before falling 5-0 to Valdosta State.
