Statesmen & Lady Statesmen Enter Stretch Run Ranked In CSCAA Top 25

CLEVELAND, Miss. - With the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships on the horizon, the Delta State University Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams enter the stretch run of the schedule ranked in the top 15 in the latest College Swim Coaches Associate of America Top 25 Poll. The complete rankings are listed below.

The Statesmen moved up two spots to No. 3 in the latest rankings after defeating defending NCAA DIII national champion Emory University last week in Pensacola, Fla.

Riding a wave of success that has led to consecutive dual meet victories over previously No. 8-ranked West Florida, Incarnate Word (NCAA DI) and defending NCAA DIII national champion Emory, the Lady Statesmen climbed three spots to No. 11 in the final regular season poll.

Delta State will spend the next three weeks preparing to host the NSISC Championships at the Ronald G. Mayers Aquatics Center. The four-day meet runs from Wednesday, Feb. 20 through Saturday, Feb. 23, and follows the NCAA DII National Championships format.
