CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State Lady Statesmen team pulled into first place after day three of the NSISC Championships while the men solidified their lead pulling ahead on Friday night.

Inside The Ropes:
- In the preliminary session, freshman Celeste Turner set a new NSISC, pool, and school record in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:00:14 passing the old record by just under a second.
- Caroline Jouisse opened the night with a third place finish in the 500 free with a time of 4:55:38.
- Nathan Sawicki won and set the NSISC record in the 500 free at 4:27:31.
- In the 100 backstroke, the Lady Statesmen finished 2-3-4 in the event with Lucia Martelli, Madelyn Byrd, and Madison Lavoie finishing in that order respectively.
- Giulio Brugnoni repeated as champion in the 100 backstroke with a time of 47.29. Teammate Emanuel Fava finished in second in 47.54.
- Lavoie finished in second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:03:04. Chelsea Borrowdale finished in fourth.
- In the men's 100 breaststroke, Daniel Gayuk came in third with a time of 54.62.
- Turner handily won the 200 butterfly final breaking her own NSISC and pool record setting the new one at 1:59:55.
- A new DSU school record was set in the men's 200 fly as Federico Bracco swam it in 1:45:74. He also set a new NSISC and pool record in the process.
- The Lady Statesmen won the B Final and finished third in the A final in the 800 free relay with a time of 7:33:32.
- In the men's 800 free relay, the Statesmen took second with a time of 6:42:81.
On The Boards:
Notables:
- The Statesmen swept the podium on the 500 relay with Sawicki winning and Michael Maly and Josh Armond rounding out the podium.
- The Statesmen won four events on night three while the women won one.
- In the 100 backstroke, the Lady Statesmen finished 2-3-4 in the event with Lucia Martelli, Madelyn Byrd, and Madison Lavoie finishing in that order respectively.
