Quoting the coach:
- Dan'l Murray- "What a great accomplishment for the guys this week. They had a goals and standards meeting at the beginning of the year and a top four performance was the goal. To finish second in the country is a huge accomplishment especially for the seniors. They were 13 points away from a trophy in 2016 when these seniors were freshman so it is great to see them earn the second place trophy.

- Sawicki's place of third passed Wolfgang Mairinger's fourth place finish in Canton, Ohio in 2010.
- Schirru has finished in the top five of the 100 free all four years of college His time of 43.50 was his second fastest time. In 2016 in Indianapolis, he swam it in 43.11.
