CLEVELAND, Miss. -- Delta State University women's cross country coach Doug Pinkerton has announced the signing of Senatobia High School standout Anna Clark.

"We are very excited to have Anna join our team and our university," Pinkerton said. "She is truly a quality student-athlete and will be a great addition to our program."

Clark a senior at Senatobia High School, posted a 21:08.7 5K time at the Mississippi High School Athletic Association State Cross Country Championships on Oct. 31.

"[Anna] is a very seasoned runner with a lot of success and I look for her to be a leader on this team both athletically and academically," said Pinkerton. "Anna has talent and tremendous potential to improve and help our team. I'm glad she will be part of our team and continue to compete at a higher level."

Clark's personal best 5K race for the Warriors came last season at the Saltillo Invitational, where she clocked a 19:58.1.
