RESULTS
CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State University women's swimming and diving team won nine events against the University of West Florida, but fell narrowly 158.00-142.00 on Saturday, Jan. 16 at the Ronald G. Mayers Aquatic Center.
Madison Lavoie placed first overall in three different events to help lead the charge for the Green and White.

INSIDE THE LANE LINES
- The Lady Statesmen got off to a hot start after Delta State's "A" group finished first in the 200-yard Medley Relay, with a time of 1:43.13.
- Isabella Kelly swam a 17:46:71 in the 1650-yard freestyle to take second place.
- Delta State's Celeste Turner placed second in the 200-yard freestyle after swimming a 1:56.27.
- The Lady Statesmen took first and second place thanks to Martina Rossetti's time of 55.98 and Madelyn Byrd's time of 59.65.
- Lavoie swam a 1:05.29, taking first, in the 100-yard breaststroke.
- Turner finished first in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:05.04, while Lucia Martelli finished second after swimming a 2:06.18.
- The Lady Statesmen took first in the 50-yard freestyle thanks to Daniella Solkow, who swam a 24.20.
- Rossetti finished second in the 100-yard freestyle, swimming a 52.09.
- Peyton Osborn swam a 2:11.28 to finish second in the 200-yard backstroke for Delta State.
- Lavoie picked up her second victory of the event after swimming a 2:22.42 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
- Kelly finished second for the Lady Statesmen after swimming a 5:15.87 in the 500-yard freestyle.
- Martelli swam a 56.17 to place first in the 100-yard butterfly, while Madelyn Byrd placed second in 58.17.
- Lavoie won her third event of the meet after posting a time of 2:09.21 in the 200-yard IM.
- The Lady Statesmen finished the meet with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Delta State's "A" group finished first with a time of 1:35.60.
ON THE BOARDS
- Gillian Pratt came in second in the three-meter diving board with a score of 235.88.
- Jillian Prigmore came in ninth on the three-meter dive with a score of 143.85
- Pratt finished fourth in the one-meter competition, while Prigmore came in ninth as well.
