RESULTS
CLEVELAND, Miss.. – Jawone Blankenship handily won the one-meter dive to lead the Delta State University Statesmen swimming and diving team on night one of the 21
st annual Delta State Christmas Invitational. Blankenship had 497.39 points which was 67 points better than the second place finisher. In the pool, DSU came in second in the 200 yard medley relay, 1000 yard free, and the 800 yard free relay.
The Statesmen currently sit in second place with 201 points.

INSIDE THE ROPES
- Jakob Broughman was the highest finisher in the 1000 yard free coming in third with a time of 9:27.46 which was good enough for a NCAA D2 "B" Standard time.
- The Statesmen took second place in the 200 yard medley relay by less than half a second. Emanuel Fava, Savio Ragonesi, Federico Bracco, and Tucker Schroer swam a 1:27.74 which was a NCAA D2 "B" Standard time. Schroer had a 19.3 second split time in his 50 free leg of the relay.
- The 800 yard free relay team of Schorer, Ragonesi, Bracco, and Fava came in second with a time of 6:37.31.
ON THE BOARDS:
- Jawone Blankenship won the one-meter dive with a score of 497.39.
- Levi Ward had a score of 421.35 in the one-meter dive and finished in third.
- Sam Jones came in fifth with a score of 402.74.
