CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State University men's swimming team won four events on the final night of the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships and claimed their fourth straight NSISC Championship title.
DSU won the meet with 1,183 points and Henderson State took second with 738.5 points. John Stewart won the 1650 free, Tucker Schroer won the 100 free, Giulio Brugnoni took the 200 yard backstroke, and Savio Ragonesi claimed the 200 yard breaststroke.

INSIDE THE ROPES
- John Stewart won the 1650 free for the second straight year with a time of 15:47.16.
- Benjamin Kelly was second (15:55.54), Joseph Anderson came in fourth (16:20.59), and Devin Wise finished eighth (16:36.11).
- Tucker Schroer won his first 100 yard free with a time of 43.47. He just missed the NSISC record by two-one hundredths of a second.
- Joao Rosa was fourth with a time of 45.10, Federico Bracco came in seventh (45.64), and Nathan Garick was ninth (45.90).
- Giulio Brugnoni took the title in the 200 yard backstroke in 1:45.62.
- Emanuel Fava came in second (1:48.74), Noble Reynolds was fourth (1:51.17), Jared Ehrman was eighth (1:56.14), and Carson Traylor came in ninth (1:52.98).
- Savio Ragonesi won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:00.02.
- AJ Williams came in second (2:03.41) and Danila Likitin was fourth (2:04.31).
- The 400 free relay team of Rosa, Bracco, Fava, and Schroer came in second with a time of 2:57.90.
- The "B" relay team of Alex Miller, Ragonesi, Wise, and Williams came in tenth with a time of 3:09.02.
NOTABLES:
- This is the second time in school history that the Statesmen have won four straight NSISC championships.
- The first time they accomplished that feat was from 2001-2004.
- Missouri S&T won it seven straight times from 2007-2013.
- Henderson State had eight straight wins from 1989-1996.
