HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Lady Statesmen cross country team of Delta State University took over the Chargers Invitational earning a 30
th place finish.
As a team, the Lady Statesmen finished thirtieth with a total score of 952 points.
Junior
Emma Haley led the way with a 26:25.90 timed 6k finishing 213 overall. Following Haley was teammate
Mackenzie Mercer running a 27:09.70 with a 225
th place finish. In 230

"Great weather today, large race, 36 teams and 338 runners in total. Unfortunately we had one of our top finishers go down with an injury. Good effort out of the other 5. We are looking to continue to drop time in the last two races" said coach
