Cross Country Picked 11th in Preseason GSC Coaches’ Poll

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. – The Delta State University women's cross-country program is ranked No. 11 in the Gulf South Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll announced this afternoon by the conference.
 
The Lady Statesmen received 16 points in the poll. Defending GSC Champion Lee received the No. 1 spot with 121 points and 11 first place votes. Mississippi College fills in the No. 2 spot with one first place vote.
 
The Lady Statesmen return four runners from last season including Emma Haley, Abby Covington, Anne Maree Crechale, and Madison McMillen.
 
The Lady Statesmen kick off their 2024 season on Friday (Sept. 6) when they head to Clinton for the Mississippi College Opener. That race will start at 6:45 p.m.
