CLEVELAND, MISS. – The Delta State University men's swimming and diving program lost to the visiting Crimson Tide from the University of Alabama 118-44 on Friday (Sept. 27) afternoon at the Ronald G. Mayers Aquatics Center.
The highlight of the day for the Statesmen came on the 1-meter dive as the Statesmen took the top four spots, led by sophomore
Braden Moore. Moore scored a 252.30. Moore just beat out freshman
Jacob Bigler who had a score of 249.30. In third, was junior
Bryon Croom. The Palmer, Alaska native tallied a score of 235.05. Rounding out the top four for the Statesmen was freshman
Caden Feith. Feith had a score of 227.93

Michael Robinson contributed to 10 points for the Statesmen in the pool. Robinson took second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 20.82 seconds. Robinson followed that up with a 45.49-second 100-yard freestyle finishing in fourth.
In the 1,000-yard freestyle race, junior
Mateus Franco took third place for the Statesmen. Franco finished the race with a time of 9:42.36.
Freshman
Kacper Mochnal earned a top three finish in the 200-yard butterfly heat for the Statesmen. The Poland native swam a time of 1:53.67
The Statesmen will be back in the pool on Friday (Oct. 18) as they travel to Arkadelphia, Ark., to take on the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist.
