BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Six schools are represented on the GSC Men's Golf All-Decade Team. North Alabama paved the way with five overall honorees, led by three First Teamers. West Florida added two First Team and two Second Team standouts, while Arkansas Tech placed one on each team. Valdosta State added one First Teamer and Delta State and Henderson State had one Second Teamer.

North Alabama's Brett Munson was voted the GSC Player of the Decade. Munson led the Lions' program to new heights from 2008-10, which saw UNA win its first GSC Titles in 2009 and 2010. He headlined the 2010 GSC Tournament when he won the Individual Medal thanks to the lowest 54-hole score in league history. The two-time First Team All-GSC standout was also awarded the 2010 Jack Nicklaus Award which is given to the top Division II golfer. Munson also grab two All-Region distinctions and was a two-time GSC Tournament Team member.

The Statesmen placed Kevin Jones (2004-2006), a two-time All-GSC selection and 2004 GSC Individual Medalist, on the All-GSC Decade Second Team. 

Current West Florida Head Coach Steve Fell is the GSC Coach of the Decade. Since his arrival in 1994, UWF has fielded one of the top programs in the nation. The past decade has been headlined by NCAA Championships in 2001 and 2008, and four NCAA Regional Titles. Fell also led UWF to six GSC Titles, en route to six GSC Coach of the Year awards. He was tabbed National Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2008 and Regional Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2003.

West Florida is the top Men's Golf Team of the Decade after racking up 130.5 out of a possible 137 All-Sports Trophy points the past 10 seasons. The Argonauts claimed six Conference Crowns, including three straight Titles from 2001-04 and 2006-08. UWF also claimed four NCAA Regional Championships and won National Titles in 2001 and 2008.
