New Orleans, La. – The Delta State University women's tennis team (5-5, 2-1 GSC) fell to the University of New Orleans (7-1) 8-1 but rallied to pick up an 8-1 decision against Loyola University (La.) the following day.

The Lady Statesmen's lone victory against New Orleans came off the racket of Elsa Wantzen who defeated Manuela Gomez (2-6, 6-1, 6-3). The green-and-white failed to manage any wins in doubles competition.

Delta State bounced back on Saturday, March 10 to take an 8-1 victory over Loyola University (La.). The Lady Statesmen swept the doubles competitions taking all three decisions 8-0, while only allowing the Wolfpack one singles completion victory on the day.
