HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - On Thursday, March 28 the Lady Statesmen fell 6-3 against the University of Alabama in Huntsville. The loss brings DSU's overall record to 2-8 with a Gulf South Conference mark of 1-5.

The Lady Statesmen went 2-6 in singles play with wins in singles two and four. Singles two saw Hidemi mayeshiro of DSU win 7-5, 6-2 over the Chargers Lina Coryajal.Singles four saw Hiristina Koceva of the Lady Statesmen record the win over Katie Bryant of UAH by a score of 2-6, 6-1, 10-5.

The Lady Statesmen return to the court on Friday, March 29 in a Gulf South Conference matchup versus the University of West Georgia in Carrolton. Doubles play is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
