Melanie Tombers led the Lady Statesmen individually Saturday with victories in the 1000-Free, 500-Free and 400-Individual Medley.

Melanie Tombers led the Lady Statesmen individually Saturday with victories in the 1000-Free (10:20.98 | D2B), 500-Free (5:15.03) and 400-Individual Medley (4:30.11).
Dani Meerholz took first place in the 200-Free with a time of 1:56.76.
Anastasia Klyarovskaya swam a 57:10 to win the 100-Back, while Kierstin Page also went under a minute with 59:37 to take third place.
Chloe Bennett claimed a second place finish in the 50-Free for the Lady Statesmen with a 24.70 followed by Hannah Core with a 24.84 in third.
Bennett swam a D2B cut time of 52.38 to win the 100-Free.
Kierstin Page won the 200-Back with a 2:07.58.
In the 200-Free Relay, the Lady Statesmen claimed the win with a 1:38.73 on solid performances by Hannah Core, Chloe Bennett, Gabby Core, and Dani Meerholz.
West Florida's Peggy de Villiers recorded a solid day for UWF, including a win in the 100-Butterfly with a 59.35.

Who's Next

The Lady Statesmen will begin preparations for the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships, which begin February 18 at the DSU Aquatics Center on the campus of Delta State University. The four-day event features nine women's teams from across the nation, including today's opponent UWF.
