Lindsey Finishes Strong At NCAA South/Southeast Regional

DADE CITY, Florida –Delta State's Reed Lindsey fired a final round four-under 68 to finish tied for 39th at the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Golf Regional at the 7,098-yard, par 72 Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club on Monday.
 
Lindsey bogeyed the first hole and then posted five birdies and 12 pars the rest of the way, moving from 99th after the first round to 39th. The Biloxi, Mississippi, native's 68 was his 12th round under par and his eighth round in the 60s this season.
 
Nova Southeastern University entered the final round 10 strokes behind Lynn University before carding an 11-under 277 to win the team title with a 19-under 845. Lynn University claimed second with a nine-under 855 followed by Barry (Fla.) University (875). South Carolina-Aikin  (876), St. Leo  (879) and Florida Southern (881) rounded out the top six teams.
 
Nova Southeastern claimed the top three individual spots.  Richard Mansell carded a final round five-under 67 to claim medalist honors with a seven-under 209 54-hole total and Oscar Lengden was two strokes behind with a five under 211 in second. And Santiago Gomez finished tied for third with a four-under 212.
