CLEVELAND, Miss. – At its first home meet of the season, the Delta State men's swimming and diving team won each race in a 189-37 victory over Rhodes College.

- Short Story: The Statesmen earned victories in every single race en route to a 189-37 victory over Rhodes College.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Statesmen began the meet with a first place finish in the 200-Medley Relay. The relay team of Cody Lavoie, Matteo Fraschi, Fabrice Wendel and Mattia Schirru finished in 1:33.92.
- Michael Maly and Jacob Poole finished first and second respectively in the 1000-Freestyle.
- The Statesmen earned a 1-2-3 finish in 200-Freestyle, as Jack Hene earned first place with a time of 1:47.13.
- Schirru earned the victory in the 50-Freestyle in 21.23, while Keith Lloyd picked up third in 22.37.
- Lavoie won the 200-Individual Medley in 1:54.05, while Adam Charlton finished third.
- Charlton and Loyd earned first and second in the 100-Butterfly, finishing the event in 52.02 and 54.66 respectively.
- Schirru picked up his second victory of the night, in the 100-Freestyle, finishing in 47.22. Hene earned second with a time of 48.74.
- Wendel won the 100-Backstroke in 53.00
- The Statesmen earned a 1-2-3 finish in the 500-Freestyle, with Nathan Sawicki earning first in 4:49.21
- Fraschi won the 100-Breastroke in 55.81.
- In the 3-Meter diving event Eli McBride won with a score of 269.78. Nic Martin earned second with a score of 235.72, and Kyle Weesner took third with a score of 235.57.
- Weesner won the 1-Meter diving event with a score of 256.72. McBride earned second with a score of 251.47 and Bill Ashwell took third with a 250.57.
- The Statesmen capped off the meet with a 1-2-3 finish in the 200-Freestyle Relay.
UP NEXT: The Statesmen travel to Little Rock, Ark., to compete against the University of Arkansas at Little Rock on Oct. 15 at 10:00 a.m.
