VICKSBURG, Miss. - The Delta State University women's tennis fell in the 4-0 defeat by Division I foe Alcorn State University, on Wednesday afternoon at Halls Ferry Road Tennis Courts.
The Lady Braves opened up early securing a point in the doubles competition after taking a victory on court No. 2 and court No. 3.
The momentum continued as Alcorn State secured the 4-0 win over Delta State after winning in the fourth, fifth and sixth spot in singles competition.
The Lady Statesmen continue on their road trip as they head to Pensacola to face a pair of tough Gulf South Conference opponents in No. 10 Valdosta State on Friday, March 31 at 9:00 a.m. and then No. 6 West Florida on Saturday, April 1 at 12 p.m.
