CLEVELAND, Miss. – Delta State University Head Golf Coach Easton Key announced that Gonzalo Noguerol has signed to play golf for the Statesmen in 2018-19.
 
Noguerol transfers to Delta State after one season at Midland Community College in Midland, Texas.  The Málaga, Andulusian, Spain, native played as a freshman registering five-of-12 rounds under par with a 74.00 scoring average. After three top 20 finishes and a No. 37 Golfstat national ranking, Noguerol's sat out the spring season due to an injury.
 
 "I am excited to announce Gonzalo as the latest commitment to the Delta State Golf program," Key said. "Gonzalo has worlds of talent and with his collegiate golf experience will be able to come in and help us right away. Not only does Gonzalo excel on the course but he succeeds in the classroom well with a high GPA which is exactly what we strive for here at Delta State. I'm looking forward to seeing him thrive here and make a big impact."
 
Noguerol will have three years of eligibility left, entering the 2018-19 season as an incoming sophomore.
