CLEVELAND, Miss. – Relay records fell as the Delta State University Statesmen and Lady Statesmen swimming and diving had another successful night in the water. Sophomores Giulio Brugnoni and
Lucia Martelli each took home wins in the 100 yard butterfly.

Inside The Ropes:
- In the opening race of the night the Lady Statesmen "B" Team won their heat of the 200 free relay by 1-100th of a second in 1:36:64
- In the final of the 200 free relay, the Lady Statesmen finished second behind West Florida with a time of 1:33:60.
- The men's team of Mattia Schirru, Kohen Kerr, Emanuel Fava, and Alex Zholotukhin won the 200 free with a time of 1:20:36. They were 1-100th of a second off of the NSISC record.
- Chelsea Borrowdale finished second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:22:05.
- In the men's 400 IM, Matey Rezashki took third with a time of 3:55:96.
- For the second straight year, Lucia Martelli won the 100 fly in 54.78.
- Giulio Brugnoni also repeated as the 100 fly champion taking home the crown in 47.80.
- Right after finishing second in the 100 fly, Celeste Turner turned around and took second in the 200 free in 1:50:50 earning a NCAA "B" Cut time.
- Michael Maly had the top time for the Statesmen in the 200 free finishing in third place with a time of 1:38:31.
- The Lady Statesmen took first in the 400 medley relay behind the swims of Madelyn Byrd, Madison Lavoie, Celeste Turner, and Lucia Martelli. They also set a new NSISC record in the process at 3:43:12.
- The Statesmen ended the night with an extremely close win in the 400 medley relay. With Brugnoni, Savio Ragonesi, Federico Bracco, and Mattia Schirru setting a new NSISC record of 3:13:45.

Notables:
- The Statesmen and Lady Statesmen took home five more victories on day two.
- The NSISC record in the 400 medley relay had stood for three years set by DSU in 2016.
- The men beat their own record of the 400 medley relay from last year.
