Easton Key announced the 2021 Statesmen spring golf schedule on Thurs., Jan. 14, 2021.
The Statesmen open the spring competing in the Hurricane Invitational, hosted by Georgia Southwestern University, on Feb. 22-23 at the Doubletree Country Club in Americus, Ga. The Green and White follow that tournament with the Mississippi College Invitational on March 1-2 at Lake Caroline Golf Club in Clinton, Miss.
After a week off, the Statesmen play in three tournaments that will feature a host of highly nationally-ranked teams and players.
The three tournament grind features two trips to Georgia, starting with the First Federal Intercollegiate, hosted by Valdosta State University, at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club on March 15-15 in Valdosta, Ga. Delta State then travels to Columbus, Ga., for the AFLAC Cougar Classic, hosted by Columbus State University, on March 29-30. The regular season closes with the University of West Florida's Argonaut invitational at the Pensacola Country Club on April 5-6 in Pensacola, Fla.
The Gulf South Conference Men's Golf Championship is set for April 17-19 at Magnolia Grove on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Mobile, Ala.
The NCAA South/Southeast Regional takes place on May 6-8, with the top six teams advancing to the NCAA Division II National Championship at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., on May 17-21.
