LEBANON, Ill. -- The Delta State University Lady Statesmen swimming and diving team earned a victory against McKendree University on Saturday. The Lady Statesmen had seven individual wins in the meet against the Bearcats in their first ever meeting.

INSIDE THE ROPES
- The Lady Statesmen started the meet with a second place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with Madelyn Byrd, Madison Lavoie, Celeste Turner and Danielle Solkow in a time of 1:48.55.
- Jamie Glover won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:47.48.
- Byrd won her first race taking the top spot in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.26.
- Alexis Moon won another race early in her career with a time of 1:06.91 in the 100-yard backstroke.
- Defending national champion Turner, won the 200-yard butterfly by over six seconds with a time of 2:06.70.
- Byrd won her second race in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:07.57.
- Moon also won a second race with a victory in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:27.09.
- Peyton Osborn took home first place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:14.44, just five-hundredths of a second faster than teammate Glover who came in second.
- Turner claimed another victory in the 100-yard butterfly in 57.56.
ON THE BOARDS:
- Hannah Babcock was the top finisher in the one-meter dive with a score of 234.45.
- Gillian Pratt came in third with a score of 229.42.
- Babcock also took second in the three meter dive with a score of 234.45 while Pratt came in third with a score of 229.42
