CLEVELAND, Miss. -- Lucia Martelli won the 100 yard butterfly for the fourth straight year, and the Delta State University 400 yard medley relay team won a title on the second night of the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships at the Ronald G. Mayers Aquatic Center.
Martelli is only the sixth female swimmer in NSISC history to win the same event four years in a row.

INSIDE THE LANE LINES
- Martelli opened the night with a win in the 100 yard butterfly finishing the race in 54.34.
- Celeste Turner came in second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 54.93. Madelyn Byrd was seventh (57.35).
- Peyton Osborn was the highest finisher for the Lady Statesmen in the 400 yard individual medley coming in fourth (4:33.48)
- Sommer Rhodes won the consolation final of the 400 yard IM coming in ninth overall with a time of 4:38.49.
- Turner was second in the 200 yard freestyle losing by less than half a second to West Florida's Ester Rizzetto. Turner swam the race in 1:49.14 and Rizetto won the race in 1:48.81.
- The Delta State relay team of Martina Rossetti, Madison Lavoie, Lucia Martelli and Daniella Solkow easily won the 400 yard medley relay. Their time of 3:44.41 was three seconds faster than UWF.

- This was the fourth year in a row that Martelli has won the 100 yard butterfly. She has swam the races in 54.78, 54.20, 54.31, and 54.34 in the four years.
