CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State University Statesmen women's swimming and diving team sits in second place with 251 points after night one of the NSISC Championships.
The Lady Statesmen won both relay events on Wednesday, taking the 200 yard medley relay and the 200 yard freestyle relay.

INSIDE THE ROPES
- The 200-yard medley relay team of Madelyn Byrd, Alexis Moon, Lucia Martelli, and Danielle Solkow took first with a time of 1:41.24.
- Peyton Osborn finished in second place in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:20.33, which was good enough for an NCAA "B" consideration time.
- Jamie Glover placed third in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:24.89.
- Madison Lavoie was the top finisher in the 200-yard individual medley coming in second with a time of 2:06.31.
- Solkow was the top finisher in the 50-yard freestyle in 23.40.
- The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Solkow, Martelli, Fant, and Celeste Turner took first place with a time of 1:32.9, which was two-tenths of a second faster than West Florida.
