PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Delta State University Women's Tennis Program completed the first day at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association South Regional Tournament Friday afternoon at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex at the University of West Florida.
Freshman
Trinity Ly led the way for the green and white with a first-round win against Mercedes Garcia-Civ from Auburn Montgomery (6-3, 6-1). Ly then fell in the second round against the seven seeded Alexia Milliam from West Alabama.
After falling in the first round, senior
Yasmina Mayer is still in the consolation round after defeating Mariana Munoz from Mississippi College (6-4, 6-2). Along with Mayer is freshman
Anastasiia Lakovlieva won her consolation round in tiebreaking fashion over Katherine Ravatin from St. Leo (5-7, 6-0 [10-8])
