Dr. Mandy Lee O'Neill closed out her career as the most decorated swimmer in Lady Statesmen history. A four-year letter winner and four-time All-New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference pick, she held eight school and NSISC records during her tenure at Delta State, including the 50-Free, 100-Free, 100-Butterfly, 200-Free Relay, 400-Free Relay, 800-Free Relay, 200-Medley Relay and 400-Medley Relay.

She was named the 1999 NCAA Woman of the Year for Mississippi and a national finalist for the NCAA that same year. In 1996-1997, she served as a Team Captain. Lee-O'Neill was named the Most Valuable Swimmer at DSU in 1998 and she also claimed the 1996 DSU Workout Award.

A standout in the classroom as well, Mandy Lee O'Neill was a four-time Academic All-American, four-time Academic All-NSISC selection and 1999 Charles S. Kerg Senior Student-Athlete of the Year. She finished her four years at DSU ranking No. 1 in her class with a 4.0 GPA.
