Twentis Magee was a four-year letterman for legendary former coach Steve Rives and the Statesmen from 1995-1998. The shooting guard led Delta State to back-to-back Gulf South Conference championships in 1996-97 and 1997-98, and an NCAA Elite Eight appearance his senior year. Magee, a three-time All-GSC selection and Most Valuable Player at the 1998 NCAA South Regional, finished his career ranked third in scoring with 1,569 points.
 
The Franklinton, Louisiana, native dished out 258 assists to finish his career ranked ninth all-time at DSU, and held the program's records for 3-pointers made (195) and attempted (451). Magee played in 117 games during his decorated career, helping the Statesmen to an 86-31 record.
