Taylor, a four-year letter winner, was one of the first true stars in the pool for coach Ronnie Mayers and the Lady Statesmen Swimming and Diving Team.  A four-time All-New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference selection, Taylor helped lead the Lady Statesmen to school's first NSISC Championship in 1993 as Team Captain.

Taylor four-time All-Academic NSISC pick, the speedster closed her career holding 13 school records, including four individual in the 100-Breaststroke, 200-Breaststroke, 100-Butterfly and 200-Butterfly.    She was also a part of nine school-record relays and held top 10 times in the 100-Butterfly, 200-Butterfly, 100-Breaststroke and 200-Breaststroke.
