Ron was named head coach of the Statesmen Football team in 2007 after two seasons as defensive coordinator. He won 47 games in his five seasons as head coach. He won four GSC championships, two regional championships, and had one national runner-up finish. He is currently the defensive coordinator at the University of Florida.
